Berkshires Getaway

Nestled at the end of a long and winding driveway, this 1922 American Federalist house proudly rests on top of a hill, offering picturesque views of the Berkshire mountains. The house underwent a two year gut renovation where we reimagined the floor plan of the home and re-evaluated it for the needs of how the clients use the house today. Taking into account that this house serves as the gathering place for multiple generations we designed interiors that are fresh yet traditional and incorporated all the creature comforts of modern day living. We brought light and energy to the decor by introducing a joyful color palette, and layering pattern and texture. With these additions and the selection of art and objects, every inch of this home tells the story of the people that live here. The finishes on the walls, cabinets, and ceilings move light around the entirety of this house further adding to the warmth and ambiance. One special highlight of our work on this project is the kitchen. It has truly become the heart of the home as has the adjoining great room. This space was once a garage but today shows no signs of its former life and use and, instead, is a place for creating new memories.
