The couple now dines in an alcove in the living room, a second bedroom was converted into the requested dressing room, and the dining room became a guest bedroom. The kitchen went from dumpty to destination, with materials chosen to reflect light: frosted satin mirrors on upper cabinets, an architectural detail in the ceiling that’s painted a mirror finish white, and stone with quietly dramatic movement.
