FIFTH AVENUE
NEW YORK, NY
Phillip collaborated with his parents to redesign their New York City home and transform it for the next chapter of their lives. Three-bedrooms became two, where traditional shapes share space with colorful, glamorous finishes and fabrics. The red lacquer library, for example, where classic French chairs upholstered with cowhides coexist with a leopard print ottoman and Oriental carpet, or hot pink upholstered walls in the dining room that were hand painted with graffiti, or the primary bedroom’s quietly glamorous sequin-encrusted bed curtains. Many of his parent’s existing pieces were refreshed and repurposed, maintaining a familiarity in the space, while simultaneously pushing the envelope.
