When a longtime client asked Phillip Thomas to reimagine their 1980s-built Southampton home—without altering its footprint—he embraced the challenge. Honoring his philosophy of maximizing what exists, Phillip reconfigured the layout to open sightlines and draw the outdoors in. A small sitting room and outdated kitchen became a bright, expansive living space with sweeping views.

A crisp blue-and-white palette unifies the interiors, with fabrics layered across walls, upholstery, and window treatments. The pattern-on-pattern approach adds charm to the former guest bath—now a chic Butler’s pantry.

The kitchen balances style and practicality, featuring industrial tile, non-porous counters, and a nostalgic butcher block table. Upstairs, bedrooms are layered with mixed fabrics and custom detailing, resulting in a home that feels fresh, functional, and tailor-made for relaxed summer living.
